A memory down the Lane....

Sameer is into love with any girl he sees, Siddharth Sinha is busy with 2 professions, as a painter and a coolie and Akash is planning around some trips, party and Shalini. All three plan up for Goa and then have a blast ! Come back, they have a petty fight and life splits up for all 3.. Sameer finds his true love, Akash finally falls into it and Sid loses it.. But, in the end, they all stick together, leaving all of it behind and stay as the best of friends for ever..

Sounds familiar to you ? Yes.. its the same "Dil Chahta Hai" movie that I was remembering about and saw it yesterday, again after a gap of 3-4 years ! The cinematography, sounds, music, designs and artistic talents all revved it up as a fresh and younger generation movie altogether. This movie sounds fresh even to this date, guess no other movie can even match the level of freshness described in here.. Guess, this might have caused some jitters for other directors as they thought they had made a revolution in Hindi cinema. Farhan Akhtar's directorial ones, I mean all of them, have somewhat different from other boring, crappy ones.

Ohh.. the main point.. Friends ! No one can ever imagine a life without them. You learn, you fight, you hate but you are finally back to talking and having fun ! Love can wait, but friends wont. ;)

Long Queue..

Some private Bank in Bangalore.....

9.00 AM..Thursday,10th Sep.2009....

BOOM !!!

2 tall Software engineers were dumb-founded to see a long queue of a kilometer outside the gates before it wasn't a sunrise for the bank ! Reason ? Some national level competition forms were out and these hopefuls wanted to grab a copy of it. Such kind of rushes were only seen outside a dominant nationalized / private bank ATM here to draw money or outside a lone eatery in the neighborhood. Seeing the maddening rush, they decided to join at the end on a hope. But they had skipped office and feared their managers would screw them up for late arrival. Eventually they had to risk it as they were many reasons for it.. Company colleagues were out for breakfast, managers' vehicles zoomed past this bank and a doubt that they wouldn't receive their forms was a big point of concern. Looking at the sky, closing their eyes, they joined in hiding their faces out from the crowd as if a thief was hiding from the police right in front of them !

Unfortunately, some of the company colleagues were joining at the back, unaware for these 2 idiots. After sometime, they were shocked after they approached them to fill their forms too ! What a meanly attitude, but to these guys' surprise, they were quite convinced as they cant open their mouths in front of our bosses !

After 2 hours of literal bathing under the hot sun, our dumbos got their receipts, faces like that of Mahendra Singh Dhoni after winning a Cricket World Cup !!

Gosh.. What a day it was.. Guess, such rush was a daily visual out here.. You can find many such ones right now going out in Bangalore at the least ! Just walk near your bank and see for yourself !

In the Midst of Twilight..

Twilight.. Written by Stephanie Meyer. A novel about a silly, beautiful-as-in-a-novel type of a girl who falls in love with a vampire ! Now, that was quite very funny as it sounds ridiculous, even in imagination .. Gosh! Mind has really, no boundaries !

The book quietly paces in the first half about the "Ohh, I saw him and his was the most lovely eyes" , "then, we met and his speech was so sweet as honey" and that and that that... Eww... and then suddenly speeds up when other vampires smell this girl as a snack ! But what annoyed me was the climax.. an ordinary one, just as shown in those yawn type-of-movies, where a boy dances with the protagonist and lights go off ! It should have been more catchy.. Guess, i ain't those critic typos but can sure of such things to stay away from ! Looks like a Mills and Boons kinds re-written.. :)

2 years of nothing !

When I see my first post of that precious letter (offer letter one !), I feel jittery about it. The reason is simple enough, I haven't done much in the line of work in these 2 years ! I joined to serve, to become a good professional in terms of work that I do, work that should have been more interesting and fun. The tasks now I do is to check out mails, get nagged by a few users on the phone and then , wind up for the day, go home and watch TV and blog like this. God !! These could have been done at home itself. But the point is, you don't get paid a decent amount for it. ;) They say about recession and stuff like that, but this bore thing can really take you to heights.

You start giving up on yourself. The dreams that you set for yourself, starts to die from within. You don't feel like pushing for yourself or for anything else in life, for that, the energy is fading away. The spirit of work is no longer existing. The support never existed from peers or higher management. It has turned drastically from enthusiasm to a mere duty and then ending up in a cruel compromise. When you are bogged down by people who are just finding a chance to pull your leg, this thing gets even more disastrous. I hear complaints from people that I am getting impatient and so on. Well, the reason is pretty much laid out above ! Many friends that I know, are turning to America again for anything better than this kind. I see people earning more than double the amount , but the question still lies underneath ... Are they really happy in this field or is it a compromise which is not showing out ?

Knowing others purpose.

Recently, a friend of mine was chatting on GTalk and then came up with the news that was quitting the company he was working in ! I immediately thought of it, was a weird decision to quit in such bad times of recession where people are ready to even stay in their company by doing nothing or even, everything !! But, the real motto of his quitting was not the usual one like greener pastures which everybody of us dream of.

He had found his real objective. The objective of being an expert in the field of study he was interested in and contribute something to society in terms of its values. The career plan and the advice that was followed, for the first time, was scintillating ! He clearly explained, how to make a life altering decision work for yourself, which would be posted in a separate post though ! And whatever that follows, is merely your decision, your choice, for which you aren't sad about and moreover, this job thing and which follows that, looks crap, thereafter. They say working on your dreams is the true satisfaction and I saw a live example in my friend's form.

A Tiger painted White..

Recently, I happened to have this strange habit of picking up those hi-funda, hyped books in recent times thinking about whether, it really has that power of being so famous. Sadly that disappointed me which was way below expectations. The book I was referring to was the one which recently won The Man Booker Prize, "The White Tiger" by Aravind Adiga.

This book describes about a village chap, Munna who comes to city hoping of some greener pastures and ends up killing his own master ! In order to describe the line just said, the author took 320 pages ( roughly) including humiliating in the very own country that he lives in. An eye opener, only for those who can take it in the right sense, but what about the average reader ? He will think that here is a man who is getting awarded by demoralizing the country and its fellowmen ! Strange panel, but the point here is that this book makes our country stand naked in front of the whole world about the bad things that go about inside. Of course, the situation will improve, but this doesnt mean that you start glamorizing it to the mankind ! No country is perfect, but others are always looking at what the other is doing or is flawed about and lowers the image.

Overall, it explains the real happenings of a person, which gets generalized in the end, making you think that, is this our India ?

Little Drops of Joy..

It was late for me from my office to reach home one day. Reason ? The cursing rainfall of Bangalore roads, which are filled with water, drenching you up when a car zooms by, reaches the inner part of your spectacles when the helmet doesn't have a plastic guard which troubles the most important part of the journey, driving ! But what excited me before the starting point is the fact, how this stupid rainfall can really catch your eyes.

It was 15 minutes to 6P.M one day and I noticed thick, black clouds roaming over the office signing a terrible output in the end. Poor, Lazy and dull head of mine, I never got up from my seat, relishing deliciously made Masala Puri in the canteen with friends. But when I actually got up, trouble started. I just reached my cubicle to pick up my bag (which has nothing but a phone and purse to store.. what an info ! ) and headed straight away to the parking yard to get my bike. I really wanted to escape this mess which will happen later for sure. But Nature had its own timing.

As I zoomed past the yard, it started to pour up. I had no option but to park as I didn't had raincoats / any safe equipment to do with. And then, i noticed how rain really mesmerizes you.

When it rains, and that too, after a very long time, you really want to get drenched into it. The downpour was very much, inviting. The dance of the trees to the flow of rain sounded like a singing group in a church showed in films, swinging and enjoying. The wind sweeps the clouds which diverts the water that makes it a trail of remains. Everything wet and really eye catching. Everybody justs runs to a shade to find some shelter and that excitement of running itself is something special. You are very much desperate to do something which I find missing in myself !

Overall, the Bangalore rains cause trouble on the roads for drivers but it is certainly a good treat to do with and not part whatsoever.

A Beautiful, Cunning Lady.

Sometimes I feel that how people plan their career graph in a way so smooth and planned way. If you start looking about their pattern, it clearly says "My way or No way"!

How can I came about this topic? Well, by just lazying in the day, of how popular persons have their lifestyles like. Truly commendable, the point is to know the pieces and learn from it.

It starts from a lady, who say that she was a topper in her class in school days. Later, a beauty contest for which all girls come up to show the world that, they can do something for themselves in which, our small girl is also interested. She does all the research required to gain entry into this competition as she had something to prove, unlike other girls who are trying to sneak in only for fame or money. The research was quite impressive, to have an entry straight into a field where in you either get a lot or loose everything, Films !

If you look into the way these competitions are held, with so much glamor and pomp that every girl in this country can dream of becoming a queen of this land. No doubt, the cosmetic industry is always in the boom time even at this point of recession ! So much plastic or artificial faces and everything seem to be original and beautiful though, in fact, it actually isn't. But our little girl had something else in her mind.

She gained an entry into the competition and won it. Not a big deal these days, as it was one in earlier times. Later the world came to know that it was just a trump card to her destination ! A director picked her up as the leading lady of the film he was working, straight on ! She not only charmed people because of her beauty but also some part of her acting abilities as well. When her films started to click, then a strange turn happened unlike others.

She started to sign only such films having her as the center-stage. The film industry mainly runs on a hero-centric film, the dream-land, supermaniacal scenes, the unimaginable kind of love stories and stunts that a hero portrays is the bottomline for a movie to be a hit. But this lady, as she grew, came only to such films where in it was a heroine-oriented one. Not much of commercial cinema came into her hands, but she was very persistent that it will lead to what she wanted. And yo ! The world started to look her as an ambassador of the Indian Film Industry which no other actor even dared to dream ! She became the new face of India across the world in respect to her line of work. Most of the established actors feel that the Indian Market is quite so big that it is enough to fill up their pockets, but not this lady ! She even did some international films and got global attention too !

Meanwhile, while all this was happening, she used to get involved in a lot of relationships which either where wound so tight that anybody wished to snap from it or so loose that it didn't make any sense or just to stay in public's eyes. Media and other film people might have thought of her action plan about her marriage and other personal stuff which she quietened everybody by taking a huge plunge of marrying a superstar's son which nobody even though of ! Now, maybe that's what a cunning mind works really like !!

Most of her fans admire the beauty of her presence, but what tickles me the most is the mind or brains behind all of this . More catchy point is that others are making her as role-model or at the least, ape some of her styles, be it glamor or acting or even representing India !!

Surprised !

Wow ! When i look into my 2 posts, I am really surprised for the reason, that I can write something neat and vivid ! A small-pat on my back ! :)

Long Break !

Whoa ! That was really a long, long break of more than a year, but I am back ! Will keep this page up, sincerely !
