.. that there are four steps to keep on moving, which are:
1. I am a slow walker, but I never walk backwards: The trick is to focus not on how good you are, but on getting better. Good idea to ensure that you are moving towards your goal at all times. You may make slow progress -- but make sure you are making progress at all times.
2. Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity: If you sometimes feel that Lady Luck is not smiling at you, maybe it's because you are not preparing hard enough. The opportunity is there -- but you aren't quite ready to grab it. Don't let that happen. Slog, and your time will come.
3. Whatever you are, be a good one: Perhaps what our Idiot, Mr.Ranchoddas in the movie did.
4. I do not think much of a man who is not wiser today than he was yesterday : An extended line to show that we have to keep learning new skills are become better than what we were.
And lastly, to end the note, here is one.
"Whose shoes do you polish?" : An art of remaining humble to the core with no signs of arrogance coming up. Forgetting the result and moving on is perhaps the easiest thing that we never do.
Cheers to Lincoln !

A bizarre Vacation...
Post is written in a busy Computer Centre in my university. Dont know how many cursings I might get to waste time here, but anyways as they say.... Whoever, whatever they say !
Here goes. The most amazing break I can ever get. Man, life should be slowed down a little to live as said by some senior advicer-cum-blogger around. I dont know it pays or not but surely helps yourself. No arbits anymore here.
Things were quite fast in a civilized world around: 4 subjects, 4 months, 15 assignments, 3 projects, 4 exams, confused syllabus, low esteem, no friends, no party, no nothings, no movies, recycled music, no iPod, no braggings, no likes, terribly maintained Facebook, clothes and health, 1 sem. My, My ! This would surely freak me out if I extended. Wanted to just run away from the bizarre virtual competition around and blessed with 3 full months of rocking time pass.
On a usual verge similar to others to utilize my time, which never happened though, I had applied for a summer internship in one of the leading organizations. Converted it, for no money in return of course, but never imagined it to be that tough on me. To read Books ! Well, somehow pushed the limits of going through and went back to start up a project and the lead-in-charge, ordered me to get ideas ! Stupid as it sounds, if you view from a topper's perspective as an excuse to run away building your resume, but I just walked out. On a serious note, it was the best thing I had done or was doing.
Why ? Because of the fun filled 2 months thereafter ! Whoa ! What a vacation it was. First a trip to the land of History. Next to the Windy plateus of my home state for a friend's marriage in a friend's car, recently bought at that time. Finally came the Green route Trek that was a roller coaster. Got some verbal threatenings from close ones as my freaking out was above their limits.
All the fire doused off then. I was just at home, savoring the rich food, meeting old friends and marriage ceremonies to attend, my list became full ! And when the call came to go back, I was nervous. For the first time !! Finally settled with all the dues, I hurriedly slopped into a pre-planned house to settle down. And now, the mad rush begins again.
Damn, time doesnt stop..

Loner Night..
Its 12.45 AM into a cold weekend holiday. To the lush cool breeze outside the balcony of my house, sitting on a long armchair with rains tinkling in between, a sleep fades away.
Wish I had someone to be my side today. Listen to her voice, soft as the gentle rain dew. Hold her hand, feeling the warmth in them. Walk with her, removing the loneliness inside. Talk to her blurting out the mayhem within. Laugh with her, re-living the being in ourselves. And make her doze off on my shoulder..
The night seem to be incomplete though..

A Study never dreamt to be..
Singapore, was thought of as a country similar to the western world, as a provider of studies and opportunities. The latter part is yet to be experienced of, but the former part was a thing not to be forgotten either.
Studies are an integrated part of a student life. Much to it was of the thought of studying and getting to college accustoms. Agree that they cannot be deprived of their requirement, but owing to improper planning and a hurried decisive behaviour, it all turned haywire.
The university is very much demanding of its students, of the fact that of its vision to be Asia's numero uno centre for learning. Ignorant of this fact, the fact of "usual" easy-to-go student life style still hovered in my mind, unknown to the taxing of what was lying ahead of. Sincere respect to the flexibility of the course that it has to offer to, but improper planning has turned everything bizarre in my case.
To begin with, to the horror of my inexperience of the subjects to be chosen for my study, I shuffled between six to seven classes per week to "decide" on my electives to be chosen. Finally I chose four of them, checking their examinations which would be held in the fourth month of the semester, incidentally the last days of that semester ! And then, the maniac started..
Assignments, Mid-term examinations and quizzes. Not to forget a recess break in between, which cannot be held into account of its presence, owing to the heavy work load in front of us. Thinking that a subject taught along with a mini project in the sideways will prove to be better completely screwed my plans out in flat. I did a mistake of choosing three of such ones which I suffered heavily in the last few fortnights of the examination deadlines. Some outputs submitted are crazy, some are down the drain and some in between the right and the wrong expectations. But had to do this keeping in mind the buffer of the examination study and the projects consideration for overall assessment.
And then, the exams arrived. To the surprise, all the questions had to be attempted, a side unaware to us as we were led to choices all the times ! And the questions amounted to a maximum of four per subject which included the entire learning in them. Now thats what I call preparation. But all should end well when the results arrive. Lets hope for the best !

A gadget freak-ish place !
Singapore was never this much expected. Not from me atleast. Singapore is quite a decent and crowdless societal country where in there are loads of parks, gardens and footpaths to walk, but no pedestrians to see at all. Also people are so much busy in hurrying to their work that they never get time to live !
These might be just a glimpse of the developed worlds. Heard from my peers that this situation exists in every rich country that is economically developed. You would never find people around, just the beautifully scad trees brushed with tall buildings in the background with eyes and necks difficult to focus to the top floors. The clean roads and lights which the traffic never tries to skip over. It is also ruled by money, with hefty fines all around, be it for a trivial rule offence like chewing gum ! But the point here lies with the people that fill this country.
Sometimes I wonder why there are 40 storey housing apartments all over this country, a size less than half of the present Bangalore yet generating billions of dollars of income and revenues from varied aspects of the economy. Are they actually filled with people who rush to their work, for the betterment of Singapore ? Why are there lush surroundings and greenery filled with trees, parks and what not for the same people for enjoyment or relaxation ? Why there is no other life than work and home for these people ? Do you see any other person out here other than yourself in the mirror sometimes ?
But until it proved wrong today for the mega event of the year that most of Singaporeans wait for. It was the annual IT fair, 2011 that I am referring to similar to Bangalore's legendary IT shows. This was held at Suntec City, close to Marina Bay, Singapore. By far, I have never ever seen such a huge crowd of people, ever! People of all sorts, old, young, fat, lean, tall, short, kids and parents. It looked like an old market place back home where we used to visit often in a week to buy some cheaper items. Seeing this, I have to admit, that market place is nowhere compared to what I was seeing today. Tons and tons of electronic gadgets waiting for these hungry, gadget-freaky Singaporeans to snatch and fight to take them back home. There was not a single global company to miss out for booking their profits in whatever they were placing on their shelves in their stores. The last day of the event it was, for had to be bigger and better, so it was arranged in this mall, a size three time to that of our Bangalore malls and storeys mounting in 6-7 levels of goods !
Not withstanding the craziness, a friend took a laptop at a price not worth mentioning here. But one thing I saw was that at least there is life in Singapore or you get to see one when you tempt them with an electronic gadget ! ;-)

The 4 aspects of a significance theory !
Today, as I was just having a group study for my internal exams, I came across an extremely important, yet unnoticed method of how to perceive significance level in any field / topic.
When a topic is presented to man, the first thing he does is to try to get its significance factor and then begins with the analysis where as the reverse should hold true enough. This topic could be of any field, subject to the man's interest. This theory is just a disciplined approach of how to gain a prominent value of a topic which a person analyses about. This topic could be anything, be it a research theme, a concept or a simple formula.
It basically follows a 4 step methodology which people usually ignore but is actually essential:
1. Basics: Get the foundation of the topic correct ! After all, you can appreciate only when you know the topic in detail!
2. Application: Once you know about the topic well, then human brain starts thinking into applying process of using the topic in varied aspects.
3. Research: Now that the topic is even well applied, can it be further investigated about its hidden powers ? Man now gets into the undiscovered areas.
4. Significance: Once the basics and the research are through only then a particular significance of the topic comes into the picture. In shorter terms, a broader view of the enormous capability of that topic.
An example would be a Einstein's theory of relativity.
Hope this helps for you readers !
Cheers.

Who ho !! Its finally in. Continuing my journey from the last post, now that the office and such things are left behind, its time for a new start. A new beginning. A new dawn that aroused amidst a settled dusk.
To begin my experiences, this has to be the first one. The flight was scheduled to depart on a day exactly after Christmas, midnight to be sharp. So no Christmas cakes for me this time. Settling all things and fully packed with emotions and bags, we headed to the airport. It was decided that some of my office people would also come for the send-off. When we reached the airport, it was 4 hours to take off. So waited for my pals to arrive. Kept pestering them for being late, but they already were nearing the place so I didn't want the climax to end in a bad manner. Added to this, a constant pressure from my dearest ones to get in as the time to check-in was announced. I wanted to stay, but time didn't permit. So I checked in the airport. Moreover, Bangalore International Airport has some lame space crunches which does not allow people to visit even during check-in time ! But I had to take that risk, hoping to see my pals after the check-in process at least.
As time wouldn't wait, they finally arrive, minutes after I get into the airport entrance. But I had to finish my check-in process first. The airlines that I had booked had a big long queue as the passengers were of those South East Asian holiday trips from Bangalore. So it took around 45 minutes to get my boarding pass! Another problem of that airlines was that of the baggage allowance. Trying out whatever stuffs I could from my home to check proper luggage allowance, it seemed that this was one of the lowest allowance provider till date to all flights !! Damn luck of mine, I had to settle this as my investigations began a week before the departure. But I politely asked a few during the boarding process and they settled the matter out. The friends were requesting to come out for a short glimpse as they had brought a gift for me. I pleaded to the Airport officers, who, after a random check of my baggage (damn!), finally allowed me to meet them.
After that till the final check-in I had nothing else to do apart from calls made so as to bid a final good bye to console the people outside the airport and at home.
The flight finally called up for final check-in at midnight hour. I was waiting for this moment to see a real flight travel experience. This was a budget flight, an Airbus 320 charter which was quite economically spaced, something like you sit in a regular bus. The flight was full of such tourists who, where trying to "adjust" seats by shuffling passengers. I too was a victim of that and hence, got a seat, not worth mentioning. Finally, the flight took off. The take-off had mixed feelings, leaving the nearest and dearest ones and the other, a new dawn. The flight wasn't that good either with stewardesses eating heads with their regular meals servings. The journey was to shift in Kuala Lumpur as I couldn't get a direct flight and hence, had to wait till my next flight for 3 hours.
Awestruck by the airport's interior design and following the usual "crowd" path, I was about to make a mistake by checking out of it ! Fortunately, I asked the airport personnel before I proceeded to the Immigrations wing. The next flight was the quickest and the most luxurious one with a seat provided that I could stretch my long legs with ease. The flight landed in my destination, Singapore. It is truly worth mentioning that the airport and the processes are damn quick in here. I mean, it was only 10 minutes since the time I got out of the flight till the time I was out of the airport itself ! The roads, the scenic beauty and the discipline were the first ones to catch my attention while I was being taken to my room by my friend.
All in all, it was a good journey with a memorable first-time experiences. More to come..
